Amerika siap melancar serangan ke Syria.. permulaan Perang Dunia Ketiga?

The U.S. Navy has four destroyers in the eastern Mediterranean Sea positioned within range of targets inside Syria, as well as U.S. warplanes in the region.Satu serangan tentera pimpinan Amerika dijangka hampir pasti berlaku natijah terhadap regim Syria yang  menggunakan senjata kimia ke atas rakyatnya. Menurut laporan, Amerika dan sekutu-sekutu mereka akan melancarkan serangan lebih daripada 100 peluru berpandu secara mengejut berpanjangan sehingga 48 jam.
Tentera Laut Amerika Syarikat mempunyai kapal empat pemusnah di timur Laut Mediterranean berkemampuan melancar ke atas pelbagai jarak sasaran di dalam Syria serta dengan pesawat perang.

Dalam serangan dijangka dalam tempoh 48 jam, peluru berpandu akan disasarkan kepentingan Presiden Bashar al-Assad iaitu kemudahan kawalan, pusat simpanan senjata, kubu-kubu dan kem-kem latihan ketenteraan.
Tentera AS adalah 'keadaan siap-siaga' jika dipanggil untuk menyerang rejim Syria, Setiausaha Pertahanan Chuck Hagel berkata dalam satu temu bual dengan BBC hari Selasa lalu.
"Kami bersedia. Kami telah berpindah kelengkapan di tempat strategik bagi memenuhi dan mematuhi apa sahaja arahan presiden ingin diambil, "kata Hagel, yang ditemuramah semasa lawatan ke negara Asia , Brunei.
Hagel meramalkan bahawa agensi perisikan Amerika Syarikat tidak lama lagi akan membuat kesimpulan bahawa serangan maut minggu lalu ke atas orang awam di pinggir bandar Damsyik merupakan serangan kimia oleh kerajaan Bashar al Assad.
"Saya rasa ia cukup jelas bahawa senjata kimia telah digunakan terhadap orang-orang di Syria," katanya.
