JUDI: Antara Komunis Mao Tze Dong dgn UMNO

Posted: 15 Jun 2013 08:57 PM PDT

Mao Zedong dilaporkan berkata:

Orang muda benci rasuah, kata Musa Hassan

Posted: 15 Jun 2013 07:52 PM PDT

Beyond Black 505

Posted: 15 Jun 2013 07:44 PM PDT

Pakatan should concentrate on ensuring a fair delineation of electoral constituencies.
The Black 505 rally scheduled for June 22 in Kuala Lumpur is expected to draw a crowd that is even larger than the record-breaking one that Bersih gathered for its third rally last year.
However, cynics are asking whether the Black 505 series will achieve anything more significant than giving vent to the anger felt by Pakatan Rakyat and its supporters over perceived unfairness in the conduct of last May 5's general election.
Will there be a revision of the results of the 13th general election? Will the government revamp the Election Commission (EC)?
Will the EC chairman and his deputy lose their jobs?
Perhaps the most important question is whether another big rally will ensure a free and fair 14th general election.
Most observers would answer "No" to all of the questions above.
Even if the Election Commission (EC) were to promise to implement new procedures to ensure transparency in coming elections, no reasonable observer is going to take it seriously.
The indelible ink fiasco in the recent election illustrates how the BN-friendly commission can foul up things at the last minute.
Perhaps the best thing for Pakatan to do now is to ensure that it has a significant say in the re-delineation of electoral constituencies so as to prevent the kind of gerrymandering that BN used to do when it controlled more than two thirds of Parliament.
A fair and even delineation will help Pakatan win more seats in the 14th general election.
Except perhaps in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu, population increases in most rural areas since the 2003 delineation have not been significant enough to merit the creation of new seats.

Arresting Black 505 protesters: Umno-BN shooting itself in the foot - AGAIN!

Posted: 15 Jun 2013 06:14 PM PDT

When the public take to peaceful expression of their unhappiness over the issues surrounding GE-13, using the tough hand of the law is a foolish strategy. It is of no gain to both the minority-votes-polled UMNO-BN government as well as the law enforcers.
The arresting of over a dozen protestors at the SOGO shopping area on Saturday, June 15, brings back memories of the Mahathir regime that governed with a steel hand. But that was a period in time where the awakening of civil liberties, parameters for public accountability and transparency had not yet arrived on this part of the world.
Arresting Black 505 protesters: Umno-BN shooting itself in the foot - AGAIN!Today, the global scene has transformed with the successive tides of change that has been shoring up on the four corners of the world.
In case the powers that be forget, Russia fell, so did China from the grips of totalitarian powers. The Berlin wall collapsed and the Euro belt took shape. In recent times, countries that resisted this tsunami of democracy are beginning to relent as they pay a higher price. The Springs in the Middle East os just one example.
Close to our region we have even more daylight-lessons for free. How for example, the Thai authorities – police and army quickly and wisely recognized the steel of citizens' will for democratic rule demonstrates how powerful the global resurgence of civil liberties is.
Anyone who would have been in Thailand during the 'Red protest' will tell you how the police personnel enabled security for the protesting citizens ensuring that the subjects of His Majesty the King of Thailand are not harmed. That paved the way for an early resolve to the political deadlock and today the country is racing on the fast track of economic growth.

SLOT MACHINES ABUSE AT KGNS: Will Najib really dare to act against BN cronies?

Posted: 15 Jun 2013 06:13 PM PDT

A controversial move by Kelab Golf Negara Subang (KGNS) to lease and relocate its gaming machines outside the clubhouse has offered a peek into the billion-ringgit slot machine industry controlled by a clutch of businessmen closely connected to Barisan Nasional (BN).
SLOT MACHINES ABUSE AT KGNS: Will Najib really dare to act against BN cronies?Tan Sri Megat Najmuddin Khas and other members of the management committee of the club for the year 2011-2012 were recently censured by club members for negligent and incompetent conduct and a breach of duty, according to documents sighted by The Malaysian Insider.
The Club Captain during that period was Dr Ronnie Yeo. He received a stronger rebuke for being a party to discussions on the relocation deal when he was employed by Waz Lian Recreation Sdn Bhd, the company owned by a tycoon who organised the massive show of support in Port Klang for Datuk Seri Najib Razak with 60,000 people turning up for the dinner.
The real story: the Finance Minister who first gave out these licences - Dr M or Pak Lah
A handful of Chinese tycoons own hundreds of licences issued by the Ministry of Finance to operate gaming machines. These machines are placed in private clubs around the city but are open to anyone who wants to try their luck. The tycoons with more licences are able to earn a profit of several million ringgit a month, some going as high as RM20 million a month, even after paying taxes to the government.
Because of the Finance Ministry's tight control of licences under the Lottery Act, some of the tycoons have been turning their attention to gaming machines operated by golf clubs and sports clubs around the country, offering the clubs a contract to lease and relocate the machines outside the clubs.
In return, these gaming operators are prepared to pay the clubs a guaranteed amount monthly. And most of the time the guaranteed monthly compensation is more than what the club would have earned had the slot machines remained in its premises and been played only by club members.
But the problem with such sweet deals is that they appear to breach the conditions of the gaming licence set by the Finance Ministry. These include the need to place the slot machines on club premises and make sure that only club members can play.

THE SUPER-CRONY & HIS BOSS! What is KGNS compared to the 'Bukit Tinggi Casino'

Posted: 15 Jun 2013 06:12 PM PDT

REPRINT THERE IS MORE TO THE BUKIT TINGGI CASINO than is known. And puts the National Front (BN) and UMNO in a spot. Every time its leaders talk of it - so far only the Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Mahathir Mohamed, and the Pahang mentri besar, Dato' Seri Adnan Yaakub, have - more evidence of wrongdoing and outright lying is revealed.
The Prime Minister revoked the gaming licence at the casino but the Bukit Tinggi resort, since it is owned by the super-crony, Tan Sri Vincent Tan, insists it can renegotiate it. Others who breach the conditions are fined heavily and the licences revoked. But not Tan Sri Vincent Tan. No whitewashing can convert this elaborate casino complex costing, in the end, RM1,000 million and more, to attract gamblers from all over the world into the social club Dr Mahathir insists it is. Even Tan Sri Vincent does not believe him. But the government expects us to.
The Bukit Tinggi resort now wants to renegotiate the licence. The finance ministry cannot help him overcome a political decision. The second finance minister, Dato' Seri Jamaluddin Jarjis, who approved the licence, cannot either. Only the first finance minister can. He is, the last time I checked, also prime minister. If he was not retiring in October, the year was 1998, if general elections was not next year under his successor, he could have helped. Not now.
The licence was issued in secrecy, without even the cabinet aware, Tan Sri Vincent's decision to open the casino in May, conspired to sink it. All the Opposition did was to turn it into the political hot potato it is. Tan Sri Vincent and the government cannot now accuse the Opposition of politicising it. It is a political issue. Any decision to restore the licence would ensure BN more election losses - and even states.

Frightened, no one in the Cabinet wanted to get involved
The BN, and UMNO, is frightened. Its leaders do not want to enter the fray. Only the Prime Minister can. The man at the centre of the storm, the irrepressible Dato' Seri Adnan, is press ganged into it. No wonder he tells friends he wants to retire from politics because PAS has made so much inroads into West Pahang, where he comes from, he does not believe he can be returned.
Especially when he does not visit his constituency as often as he should and PAS works overtime there. So with a brave front, he marches into battle, not as Hang Tuah but as Don Quixote. The Pahang state investment subsidiary, Pasdec Corporation, has 45.546 million shares in the Bukit Tinggi resort. The mentri besar now claims Pasdec sold its stake two years ago, when the resort decided to have slot machines on its purpose.

Kes mesin judi KGNS dedahkan industri perjudian lumayan Malaysia

Posted: 15 Jun 2013 06:09 PM PDT

"Saya rasa kelakar sebab tiada kena mengena.

"Sebab apa kita berhimpun..? Pada saya ada 2 sebab utama... Pertama meraikan kekecewaan orang ramai terhadap Perjalanan Pilihanraya... Yang kecewa adalah Rakyat Jelata... Kenapa mereka kecewa..?
