MCA dakwa Umno dominasi pemberian bantuan

— Gambar AFP

Testing Najib’s credibility, trustworthiness

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 09:26 PM PST

We are not interested whether Najib knows Altantuya or not, but more about whether he lied when he swore he never knew the Mongolian woman.

By Mat Zain Ibrahim
Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak has denied Deepak Jaikishan's allegations that he and his family members were involved in a cover up operation linked to the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu.
"It's not true, he (Deepak) is not a credible person," said the prime miniser, and by giving that one-liner response, Najib expects everyone to believe him and forget about the issue.
He seems unperturbed by all the allegations levelled against him. Having people like AG Abdul Gani Othman and former IGP Musa Hassan around him – who are not only ready to suppress but to fabricate evidence to screen the PM from legal punishment as well – surely Najib has no worries.
We can see for ourselves how a cover-up so blatantly done from the events surrounding PI Bala's SD1 and SD2 which was then swiftly followed by Abdul Razak Baginda's pre planned acquittal and abscondment.
However there are still some other documents that could be used to test Najib's credibility and sincerity.

Najib's own affidavits

On Sept 21 and 23, 2011, Najib affirmed affidavits in support to set aside the subpoena served on himself and his wife to appear as witnesses in the Sodomy II trial. Rosmah Mansor affirmed her affidavit separately on Sept 21 before the same Commssioner of Oath as her husband's.
Like Bala's SD2, Najib's affidavits contained material averments that can be proven to be untrue rendering the affidavits as false. One thing for certain, both Najib and Rosmah cannot deny having made those affidavits. The whole nation knows that they have filed their respective affidavits in that trial.
They are in for a bigger trouble if both of them deny having affirmed those affidavits. Remaining silence on this matter will also give a negative impact on the PM.
About Najib's name
When the PM took his oath of office on April 3, 2009 before the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, he swore in the name of Allah (Wallahi, Wabillahi, Watallahi) that his full name is Mohd (Mohammed) Najib bin Tun Hj Abdul Razak.

Selangor Urus Air Lebih Baik Dari Rozali Yang Gajinya RM 400,000 Sebulan

11_Mb Ceramah Di Pekan Saratok
PETALING JAYA, 19 JAN: Meskipun gaji beliau sekurang-kurangnya RM425,000 sebulan, Pengerusi Pegawai Eksekutif Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas), Tan Sri Rozali Ismail gagal menangani isu gangguan air baru-baru ini.

Sharifah’s uncalled for shenanigans

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 08:18 PM PST

The modus operandi adopted by the SW1M chief is a classic example of how wannabe politicians will do anything to 'hog' both space and attention.

If there is a legacy that Umno leaves behind, it is that of an uncouth culture, one that says it is ok to humiliate others. And if Suara Wanita 1Malaysia (SW1M) aspires to be an Umno copycat, it does not augur well for the well-being of Malaysia.
For one, SW1M's reputation precedes it, going by the kurang ajar or rude behaviour of its leader, Sharifah Zohra Jabeen who could not care less how to conduct herself in public which comprised students of a local university.
At a Universiti Utara Malaysia forum last month, an undergraduate KS Bawani forthrightly asked Sharifah questions in line with the forum theme 'Are University Students in Line with Politics' and on Bersih.
Instead of developing into an insightful forum, the event turned ugly after Sharifah, ignoring any semblance of decorum, started a verbal abuse against Bawani, a second year law student.
Unable to use critical thinking to reply to Bawani's argument on free education, the NGO head did what only Umno does best – turn rude and hurl insults.
If that was not bad enough, the modus operandi adopted by Sharifah is a classic example of how wannabe politicians like the SW1M chief will do anything to 'hog' both space and attention.
Force and humiliate if need be, but never fail to grab all attention – this is the Umno mantra which Sharifah wholeheartedly subscribes to.
SW1M chief's EQ and IQ = 0
The forum attended by Sharifah tackled a serious subject, of university students and politics. Was the topic too heavy for the SW1M chief that she could not think of a way to address the sophomore's straight-to-the point questions?

Polling on Saturday, March 30?

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 08:09 PM PST

Because of the one-week school holiday in March, the polls will most certainly be held during this time, and the all-defining date that pops up is Saturday, March 30.

A number of regular readers of this columnist's articles have requested for piece on the polls date, so this issue will be tackled here. But first of all, this columnist wishes to say that Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak has just lost a brilliant opportunity to deal Pakatan Rakyat a fatal blow by dissolving Parliament on Jan 14 (just after the KL112 event) for early February polls, which will certainly catch Pakatan by surprise as its leaders are expecting the general election to be held only in March.
It is starting to get uncanny the way Najib seems to delay dissolving Parliament each time he has the advantage. After all, he had claimed credit for the smooth-running of the KL112 event on Jan 12 due to the Peaceful Assembly Act which was initiated by him and which was passed in Parliament in November 2011.
Najib has only himself to blame now. His enemies are closing in and time is running out. And it is not the tag-team of Deepak Jaikishan-Musa Hassan nor opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim who did him in but it is the calendar that has cornered him. More on this later.
This time Najib is hard-pressed. He has run out of dates to maneuver. This same time last year he was still going on strong and had ample time to hold the polls but he had faltered and fumbled and lo and behold, we are in 2013!
A look at the past year showed that under his tenure a lot of piecemeal small cash handouts were, well, handed out. And there was also talk that next year the RM500 cash aid (for households earning below RM3,000) may even be upgraded to RM1,000.
"This is certainly an obvious attempt to fish for votes," remarked PAS Kota Raja MP, Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.

Non-Muslim support for Pakatan waning

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 08:08 PM PST

PAS Supporters Congress says this is because the non-Muslim community is bitter over the opposition coalition's poor handling of several recent issues

KOTA BARU: Non-Muslims support for Pakatan Rakyat has dipped in the past five months due to the actions and policies of PAS and DAP, said the PAS Supporters Congress.
Its outspoken chairman, Hu Phang Chaw, said the support dwindled following a series of events, which has left a bitter after-taste among the non-Muslim community.
"We cannot outrightly proclaim it as we have yet to conduct a proper study, but one must be brave to admit that support has eroded due our inability to manage issues well."
He cited the local authorities in Kelantan banning women from cutting the hair of male patrons and the move to slap non-Muslims with charges similar to khalwat as examples.
He also pointed out to the insensitivity of the Kedah government for enforcing restrictions and conditions on cultural shows during the Chinese New Year celebrations.
Another example he gave was DAP's secretary-general Lim Guan Eng's Christmas Day message reviving the useage of the word "Allah" among Christians.
Hu said while these issues resonate with non-Muslims, they better appreciate bread and butter issues rather than polemic religious or race issues.
"Sadly, Pakatan has allowed themselves to be entrap by the same issues, which they had succesfully avoided since 2004," he said.
"Our good work in reaching out to the non-Muslims since our defeat in the 2004 polls may now backfire if we are not careful," said Hu.
"When Pakatan talks about lowering car prices and cutting the national deficit, voters see it as long-term goals, something good to listen to, but a dream at best.

For Pakatan, Election 2013 not a stroll in the park

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 07:52 PM PST

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 — As it stands now, the fight for the new voter is split down the centre with Merdeka Center's latest survey showing half of Election 2013 virgins supportive of Datuk Seri Najib Razak, contrary to perception that first time voters are likely to be Pakatan Rakyat (PR) supporters.
Nearly one in two Malaysians polled between last November and December in the "First-Time Voters Public Opinion Survey" said they were happy with the prime minister's performance even though only four in 10 said they were satisfied with the Barisan Nasional (BN) government since Najib took over the wheel from Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in April 2009.
File photo of Pakatan supporters with flags of their parties during a by-election in 2011. A recent survey says support of first-time voters is split down the centre between the two competing coalitions.
The latest findings appear to corroborate the independent pollster's earlier studies on public rating for the ruling coalition were lagging behind its leader's despite the slew of cash handouts and a raft of economic and legal reforms introduced over the past four years. In effect, BN would be worse off without Najib's popularity. The independent research house had polled 826 newly-registered voters in Peninsular Malaysia aged 21 and above and found Najib being most popular among Indians at 64 per cent compared to six out of 10 Malays and lowest among the Chinese, with six out of 10 saying they were upset with the PM.
In contrast, the BN coalition trailed the PM's ratings by eight percentage points, with 41 per cent of first-time voters approving it compared to the 49 per cent that backed Najib.

Sipaun: 'Bersih dulu pengundi hantu sebelum PRU13'

New voters trust politicians more than cops: But PR politicians, NOT Umno-BN!

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 07:40 PM PST

The police force is less trustworthy than political parties, according to the latest survey of first-time voters by the Merdeka Center.
The result of the "First-Time Voters Public Opinion Survey" carried out between November and December last year appeared to stun even the independent pollster.
"Trust in government and various institutions are marginal — are first time voters disinterested or simply cynical?" it remarked in its poll report made available to The Malaysian Insider this week.
Cops the most distrusted - wonder why?
Slightly more than half or 56 per cent of the 826 newly-registered voters in Peninsular Malaysia aged 21 and above polled said they did not trust the police, compared to 47 per cent who said they distrusted political parties, a nine-percentage point gap.
The distrust in the country's top law enforcement authority stood above all other public institutions surveyed, including both federal and state governments, the Election Commission (EC) and the judiciary.

RCI : Mahathir terpaksa mengaku salah

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 07:26 PM PST

Enough of betrayals & cheating: EC must act to stop the treason or be GUILTY TOO!
DAPSY Jelutong express its concerns towards the recent shocking exposures of Sabah Royal Commision of Inqury (RCI) where all testimonials from its investigations had pointed out how the state's election was rigged to the comfort of Barisan Nasional In order to keep the rulling coliation in power.
Despite being In its early stages of hearing testimonials from several witnesses, Malaysians especially Sabahans have had enough of all the betrayals and unjust not only affecting the democracy for the state below the wind but in an irriversible way tarnishing the population of the state.
No escape for the EC
Among the worst culprits whch had been identified through the RCI's series of questioning is definitely the Election Commision.
Supposingly a fair and just comission, the EC's Reputation are totally destroyed for its mistake in protecting the democracy for the people of Sabah. This had once again proved that the Bersih rally for electoral reform are necessary to protect the rights of fellow Malaysians.
With no doubt more and more ugly exposures will be revealed before the RCI's final report submission for His Majesty Yang Di Pertuan Agong, what will happen next? Will this time finally through the intervention of RCI, the traitor who betrayed people's trust in conducting fair and just elections being punished? Or the final report for the RCI will only end up as a publication sitting on the bookshelves with a heavy price tag?
Stop the treason

Orang Melayu tidak berpecah,...Melayu Tolak UMNO Sehaja..!!!!

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 07:19 PM PST

Isu amanat, kalimah Allah: Umno gelabah

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 07:00 PM PST

Blood money for Death Railway used on MISC? Is that how Dr M 'spent' the funds?

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 06:59 PM PST

The mystery surrounding a huge amount of compensation allegedly paid by Japan to the Malaysian government for victims of the Death Railway project took a twist with PAS demanding an explanation whether the money had been used to develop the Malaysia International Shipping Corporation (MISC).
Blood money for Death Railway used on MISC? Is that how Dr M 'spent' the funds?PAS information chief Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man referred to a 2007 report carried by UMNO mouthpiece Utusan Malaysia quoting Ahmad Shabery Cheek, the then secretary at the Foreign Ministry as saying that the 'blood money' paid by Tokyo had been used to develop MISC.
Shabery, now the Youth and Sports minister, had also said that the government would not allow individuals and organisations to make direct claims of compensation from Japan.
"The victims are now faced with an even more unfortunate news when the money which was meant for them was said to be abused by the government to build Malaysia International Shipping Corporation Berhad (MISC) as reported by Utusan in a report in 2007," said Tuan Ibrahim.
Bukit Gantang member of parliament Nizar Jamaluddin (left) had previously claimed that some RM207 billion was paid by Tokyo to the Malaysian government for victims of the Death Railway, an ambitious project by the Japanese imperial government to link Thailand and Burma by rail through the use of forced labour.

The sacking of deputy prime minister and finance minister, Anwar Ibrahim, in 1998, was the start of Malaysia's real problems as the incorrigible Mahathir Mohammad sought to stay in power despite him being one of the main trigger causes of the financial meltdown across Asia back then.
