Answer on Does anyone know of any cheap restaurants in Venice Italy?

I've been working near Venice for 4 summer season, in an Hotel in lido di Jesolo, and I've always said to my customer that if they wanted a cheap restaurant but with good food in Venice the best way to find it is follow builders at lunch!!!

they are on budget but they want to eat good food and they always go to cheap places where u eat good food to take them trough the day!!

Good tip avoid San Marc square, actually,if u a right in the front of San Marc church there is a street on the left hand side of the church, follow it and on the corner where the little calle is starting there is a bar where u pay a cappuccino 1,20 euro, not the astronomic 10 in main square!

Also stop in any bar that u re find on the way from San Marc to Piazzale Roma, have some cicchetti and a glass of Spritz with Aperol, the tipical venetian drink!!

I m italian,believe me!!!

You can check the routes and prices here: http://www.ferries.gr/

Most of the options will take you to Bari, Ancona, or Venice in Italy. Deperture points from Greece can depend on which day you want to travel. I've only taken the boat from Bari to Patras and back and didn't have a vehicle along.
