Lesen judi sukan 'ganjaran' Kabinet kepada Berjaya

KUALA LUMPUR, 5 Jun — Ahli Parlimen Shah Alam Khalid Samad hari ini mendakwa kerajaan pusat meluluskan lesen judi sukan kepada Kumpulan Berjaya sebagai "ganjaran" atas bantuan kewangan yang didakwa telah diberikan syarikat itu semasa pilihan raya.

"Saya percaya Perdana Menteri meluluskan lesen judi ini atas sebab terhutang budi dengan Kumpulan Berjaya yang telah menyokong Barisan Nasional (BN) di dalam 11 pilihan raya kecil yang lepas.

"Ini kerana banyak duit yang dibelanjakan sebahagian besar daripada duit itu besar kemungkinan datangnya daripada Kumpulan Berjaya dan sebagai ganjaran maka diberikan lesen ini,"
kata beliau ketika berucap pada majlis pelancaran Kempen Membantah Judi di pekarangan kompleks membeli-belah Sogo dekat sini.

Beliau yang juga anggota Biro Politik PAS mendakwa Najib memberikan lesen judi tersebut kepada Kumpulan Berjaya kerana terdesak apabila mengetahui keadaan kewangan negara tidak seperti yang dijangkakan.

"Keputusan memberikan lesen judi ini adalah satu keputusan mengejut yang dibuat Najib kerana ia tidak pernah dibincangkan dalam sidang Parlimen.

"Secara zahirnya jelas bahawa beliau terdesak apabila mengetahui keadaan kewangan negara tidak seperti yang dijangkakan.

"Oleh sebab itu beliau memberikan lesen judi ini kepada Kumpulan Berjaya dan saya percaya syarikat ini memperoleh keuntungan sebanyak RM250 juta hasil daripada pertaruhan bola sepak Piala Dunia tidak lama lagi," katanya.

Pelancaran kempen tersebut adalah anjuran Gerakan Membantah Judi (GMJ) yang disertai 22 pertubuhan bukan kerajaan termasuk Perundingan Pertubuhan Islam Malaysia, Persatuan Teras Perpaduan Melayu, Dewan Pemuda Masjid, Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia, Gabungan Mahasiswa Islam Semalaysia, Satu Nama, Jemaah Islah Malaysia dan Jamaiy.

Turut sertai ialah Pengerak Belia Tempatan MPK, Budayawan Bertindak, Seniman Paksi Rakyat, Persatuan Anak-anak Peneroka Felda, Nisa Malaysia, Persatuan Kebangsaan Islam Malaysia, Persatuan Dharma Sakyamuni, Relawan, Pusat Aduan Rakyat Kempas, Sekretariat Himpunan Ulama Rantau Asia, Dewan Pemuda Pusat dan terbaru Pertubuhan Anak Melayu Selangor Darul Ehsan Wilayah Persekutuan.

Ia dilancarkan oleh Pengerusi GMJ Azmi Abdul Hamid.

"Tindakan kerajaan ini merupakan penggadaian rakyat, hak rakyat, kepentingan rakyat demi kepentingan BN.

"Masyarakat sudah tenat dengan masalah judi, ramai yang terjebak dengan Ah Long mengapa mesti nak tambah lagi masalah?

"Yang akan untung hanya dua kumpulan iaitu tauke judi serta Ah Long akan juga dapat keuntungan besar dan mungkin yang BN turut akan memperoleh keuntungan kerana Kumpulan Berjaya akan terus memberikan sumbangan kepada BN," kata Khalid.

Tambah Khalid, rakyat perlu membantah kelulusan lesen judi kerana ia akan memberikan kesan buruk dalam masyarakat.

"Rakyat perlu membantah kelulusan lesen judi ini kerana ia akan memberikan kesan yang amat buruk kepada masyarakat.

"Tindakan kerajaan ini akan mempertaruhkan masa depan rakyat dan juga negara," katanya lagi. -TMI

50 ribu sertai demo bantah Israel

KUALA LUMPUR, 4 Jun: Lebih 50 ribu menyertai perarakan dari Kampung Baru ke Keduataan Amerika siang tadi bagi membantah kekejaman tentera Zionis Israel menyerang konvoi kemanusian antarabangsa ke Gaza awal minggu ini.

Himpunan anjuran Pakatan Rakyat bersama NGO itu diketuai Ketua Umum PKR, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Timbalan Presiden PAS, Nasharuddin Mat Isa dan Penasihat DAP, Lim Kit Siang.

3.48 petang: Perhimpunan disudahi dengan bacaan doa oleh Ustaz Nasharudin Mat Isa dan bersurai secara aman.

3.38 petang:
Ustaz Nasarudin Mat Isa dalam sidang medianya berkata, perhimpunan ini melangkaui agama dan kaum bagi menyatakan bantahan kepada Washington berhubung tindakan kejam Israel Zionis.

Perhimpunan ini juga katanya menunjukkan sokongan rakyat Malaysia terhadap perjuangan rakyat Palestin yang tidak pernah rela di atas pengainayaan zionis Israel.



3.32 petang:
Penyerahan memorandum selesai dan delegasi keluar dari bangunan kedutaan.

Anwar dalam sidang media memberitahu, dalam pertemuan bersama Duta Besar Amerika Syarikat itu, Pakatan Rakyat dan NGO memohon untuk disampaikan memorandum tersebut secara terus kepada Presiden US, Barack Obama.

Dalam responnya, Duta Amerika itu kata Anwar berjanji akan menyerahkan sendiri memorandum tersebut kepada Obama minggu hadapan.

Pakatan Rakyat juga menjelaskan kepada duta besar tersebut bahawa tindakan kejam Israel terhadap konvoi kemanusiaan itu adalah disebabkan Amerika terlalu lembut menasihati israel.

3.30 petang: Turut berucap adalah Mohamad Sabu, Dr. Mahfodz Mohamad, Ustaz Azlee Musa dan Mustafa Akmil Ayub di hadapan menara See Hoy Chan berhampiran Kedutaan Amerika Syarikat.

3.25 petang: Sementara menunggu delegasi serah memorandum selesai, pimpinan pakatan rakyat yang lain sedang memberi ucapan di hadapan lebih 50 ribu peserta himpunan. Antara yang berucap adalah Salahuddin Ayub dan Dr. Hatta Ramli.

3.10 petang:
Polis membenarkan lima pimpinan utama iaitu Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Ustaz Nasharudin Mat Isa, Lim Kit Siang, Azmin Ali dan Syed Husin Ali untuk masuk ke bangunan kedutaan menyampaikan memorandum kepada pihak kedutaan US.

3.00 petang:
Perarakan tiba berada di hadapan kedutaan. Kumpulan perarakan ditahan pihak polis kira-kira 20 meter sebelum tiba di hadapan kedutaan. Pimpinan yang mengepalai perarakan kini sedang berbincang dengan pihak polis. Turut serta Timbalan Presiden PAS, Ust Nasharudin Mat Isa dan Lim Kit Siang.

2.55 petang: Perarakan bersambung semula dan hampir tiba di hadapan bangunan Kedutaan.

2.51 petang: Dr. rani dari Yayasan Amal berucap menyatakan bukan sahaja orang Islam malah orang Kristian juga turut membela Palestin dan tidak boleh menerima tindakan kejam Israel.

2.50 petang: Perarakan sudah berada di hadapan menara Tabung Haji. Peserta barisan hadapan berhenti menunggu peserta barisan belakang tiba untuk sama-sama bergerak ke kedutaan US.

2.47 petang: Perarakan tiba di simpang menara Tabung Haji. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Azmin Ali dan Pengerusi Teras, Cikgu Azmi Abdul Hamid turut serta menaiki kenderaan pacuan empat roda mengepalai perarakan bersama pimpinan PAS.

2.38 petang: Peserta himpunan kini sudah berarak melepasi bangunan KLCC menuju ke Kedutaan Amerika Syarikat.

2.35 petang: Dianggarkan lebih 50 ribu orang sedang berarak menuju ke Kedutaan US dan akan bergabung dengan sebahagian besar peserta himpunan yang sedang menunggu di sana.



2.30 petang:
Terdapat empat buah trak ditempatkan di hadapan bangunan kedutaan. Wakil Aqsa Syarif Selangor sedang menyampaikan ucapan di hadapan kedutaan dan melaungkan 'Zionis Terrorist'. FRU mula memperketat kawalan.

Timbalan Presiden JIM, Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh berkata mereka berkumpul untuk mengutuk tindakan Israel dan menghargai usaha Turki memberikan kapal untuk misi kemanusiaan.

2.28 petang:
Perarakan kini berada di hadapan Hotel Renaissance menuju ke Jalan Tun Razak. Kira-kira 3km untuk sampai ke Kedutaan Amerika Syarikat. Perarakan turut diiringi pihak Polis. Sekurang-kurangnya 7 buah trak FRU ditempatkan di Jalan Sultan Ismail.

2.20 petang: Sekumpulan NGO sudah menghampiri Keduataan Amerika dan melaungkan 'hancur Yahudi'.

2.10 petang: Lebih 1,000 orang terdiri daripada NGO berkumpul di Masjid Tabung Haji dan sedia bergerak ke Kedutaan Amerika. Sebuah trak polis berada di hadapan kedutaan. Sebuah helikopter berlegar-legar di ruang udara sekitar Masjid Tabung Haji dan Kedutaan Amerika. -Hrkh
