| Posted: 22 Nov 2014 05:54 AM PST SERDANG: Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) dan Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) akan menggerakkan anggota ke Cameron Highlands untuk menggempur kegiatan pembukaan tanah secara haram di situ pada waktu malam, kata Datuk Seri Najib Razak. Perdana Menteri berkata, langkah itu diambil susulan perbincangannya dengan Sultan Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah, berdasarkan laporan bahawa kegiatan itu sering dilakukan oleh pendatang asing tanpa izin (PATI) pada waktu malam. -Bernama CAMERON HIGHLANDS: NO illegal foreign workers should be allowed to wander around the highlands or other parts of the state, Sultan of Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah said. On his second day of visit to the highlands due to the massive illegal land clearing, the sultan said stern action would be taken against illegal workers. He appealed to the Federal Government to help in the state's efforts. -NST CAMERON HIGHLANDS: The crackdown on illegal foreign workers had led to some employers hiding them for fear of detention. Cameron Highlands Vegetables Growers Association is pleading for enforcement operations to be eased off as it had been scaring away both legal and illegal workers. "I asked Tuanku to ease up on the enforcement and not have so stringent action by the authorities, otherwise no one would work in the farms," he said.It's secretary Chay Ee Mong said he raised his conserns to Sultan of Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah, who had attended a meeting at the Cameron Highlands District and land Office on Thursday.
