Genting Bus Tragedy ...KahKahKah!!! Posted: 26 Aug 2013 06:15 PM PDT JOHOR BARU (Aug 26, 2013): The Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) will set up an Inquiry Panel Committee as soon as possible to gather all information on the accident at Genting Highlands which killed 37 people last week. SPAD chairman Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar said currently the commission was waiting for the investigation report on the accident from the various agencies responsible. "Right now, we are waiting for all the report and we will set up the Inquiry Panel Committee that will gather (the various reports) from the agencies responsible for investigating the tragedy. "We want to set up (the Inquiry Panel Committee) as soon as possible, so that we can prepare the terms of reference for (members of) the panel," he told reporters after attending a briefing on the 1Malaysia Taxi Scheme, here today... The whys of highland crashes Posted on 26 August 2013 - 08:38pm Azman Ujang   WHY is it that after so many crashes involving express buses, especially at the treacherous downhill journey from Genting Highlands, the outcomes of investigations into such tragedies were rarely made public? The immediate reaction from officials and the transport minister following such man-made accidents is always the standard "we are going to set up a board of inquiry" or something to that effect.
