| Posted: 05 Mar 2012 11:20 AM PST I went last year and stayed in hotels. It was ok but I didn't get a good feel for the culture or people. Plus it was expensive. Are hostels ok, dangerous? Is there a better, cheaper way to stay there? Rent rooms from families? Want to go back to Rome, Florence, Tuscany, Cinque Terra regions? Answer on Best Boarding In Italy? Hostles have high crime and can be dangerous. You should contact Catholic churches to see if they will rent you a room in their mission. The room comes with a free breakfast if you attend morning mass. That's the way it worked for me anyway. |
