Scandal of SALCO – How Taib plans to make billions from Bakun!

Posted: 16 Feb 2012 08:37 PM PST

Scandal of SALCO – How Taib plans to make billions from Bakun!Displaced families, who have received so little compensation from Bakun, may be interested to learn how Taib and his own family are planning to make billions for themselves out of the hydro-electric dam, based on an investment of just RM2.00!
We can reveal that SALCO (Sarawak Aluminium Company Sdn Bhd), the company that has been handed a licence to build a vast smelter in Simalaju, powered by cheap electricity from the dam, is secretively entirely owned by the Taib family company, CMS.
So far, they have only issued two shares for the company, worth a mere one ringgit each!
Our revelation sheds light on a classic money-making scam, that is still in its early stages for the Chief Minister, but where the planned outcome is plain to see.
Scandalous SALCO scam!

NFC scandal details revealed

Posted: 16 Feb 2012 08:34 PM PST

NFC scandal details revealed Corruption has become a way of life for UMNO politicians in this country.
For the record, NFC is supposed to be a high-impact project under the Ninth Malaysia Plan and this project will be instrumental in attaining the 40 per cent self sufficiency in beef production by 2010. The project was initially a JV between NFC and main operator Lamberts Agricultural Trade (M) Sdn Bhd (LAT). LAT later withdrew from the project that leads to the dismal performance of the NFC in failing to train 130 farmers for the project.
Nobody wants to admit the award of NFC to Minister's family
Muhyiddin was the Agriculture Minister when Abdullah Badawi's was Prime Minister but was reluctant to admit that he was instrumental in awarding the project to Shahrizat's family.

Najib Bimbang Sharizat Dedah Rahsia Rosmah?

Posted: 16 Feb 2012 08:30 PM PST

"Lembu mana pula?" tanya saya.

Bankrupt in no time: Desperate BN set to raise borrowing limit again?

Bankrupt in no time: Desperate BN set to raise borrowing limit again?
The Barisan Nasional has modified the Statutory Borrowing Ceiling at its whims and fancies over the past decade rendering meaningless the legal debt ceiling for Federal Government.
The Loan (Local) Act 1959 and Government Funding Act 1983 puts in place a 55% federal government debt limit relative to Malaysia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as determined by the Ministry of Finance (MoF). Based on the Government's Economic Report 2011/2, our federal government debt will hit RM455.7 billion as at the end of 2011 which works out to 53.8% of our GDP, or a whisker away from the statutory borrowing ceiling.
However, what is worrying is the fact that the "statutory borrowing ceiling" has actually been raised multiple times by the Barisan Nasional (BN) Government over the past decade to "legalise" the federal government debt level which has been increasing at a much faster pace than our GDP.

Felda Sabah or Federal Territory Sabah: A ticking time bomb for BN in GE-13

Posted: 16 Feb 2012 07:17 PM PST

Felda Sabah or Federal Territory Sabah: A ticking time bomb for BN in GE-13Sabah, officially the Land Below the Wind -- Negeri di Bawah Bayu -- has also had another name, albeit unofficial, in recent years. Since Umno took over the state government in 1994, it has also become known as Negeri di Bawah Penjajahan Malaya or the Land Under Malayan Colonialists, and with good reasons too.
The latest 'cow dung' in Malaysia to hit the ceiling fan is the role or "non-role" of Felda or the Federal Land Development Authority in the state.
The authority is in effect brazenly occupying nearly a third of a million acres – 306,000 acres to be exact -- in Sabah in defiance of the state constitution, the Governor, the state government and the very concept of Federation.

At crossroads – MCA or Chinese community?

Posted: 16 Feb 2012 07:15 PM PST

A confidential report post 2008 elections noted that MCA "never" had the support in Chinese dominated constituencies in the past and the 12th GE was no different.

Some equate truth and falsehood to water separating from oil. The Chinese proverb "shi zhen nan jia, shi jia nan zhen" means if it is the truth, it is impossible to falsify and likewise, equally difficult to make a truth out of falsehood.
This in mind, if MCA is at the crossroads, does it also mean that the Chinese community is facing the same predicament?
The symbolic relationship between MCA and the Chinese community is akin to fish to water and is destined to become irrelevant as more and more conscientious Chinese Malaysians abandon the party at the crossroads.

US-Israeli puppet govt in M'sia: Can Dr M be honest and fair enough to show proof?

US-Israeli puppet govt in M'sia: Can Dr M be honest and fair enough to show proof?Aliran is troubled by the ex-premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad's recent prediction in warning Prime Minister Najib Razak that Israel and the United States were "conspiring to cause a regime change in Malaysia through 'a puppet government' to be led by Anwar (Ibrahim)".
This political 'forecast' has serious implications and repercussions for the country. If there is any grain of truth to this international conspiracy, then our sovereignty, and political independence and security would indeed be in jeopardy.
The gravity and severity of this matter, therefore, demand that Mahathir presents incontrovertible evidence to support his allegation. This will enable Malaysia to safeguard itself and remain as an independent nation in the world community, without fear that it would be transformed into a "client state" of the US or any other world powers for that matter.

Pemimpin politik harus henti guna agama demi kepentingan peribadi, kata Dr Asri

Posted: 16 Feb 2012 07:11 PM PST

Siti Zailah Mohd Yusof

Independent-minded youth a swing factor in GE13

Posted: 16 Feb 2012 06:57 PM PST

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 17 — Young adults who comprise a large proportion of newly-registered voters are concerned over the direction the country is heading in and are becoming more demanding and more politically-independent than their older counterparts.
Some analyst reports have estimated the number of new registered voters could exceed three million by March next year, which amounts to nearly a quarter of the current total voter base of about 12.4 million.
There was an explosion in registrations during 2010, some 820,156 or three times the 276,621 registered in 2009, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz told Parliament last October.
The huge increase in new voters is significant given the narrow margin of victory of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition in 2008 — just 384,688 votes out of total of 8.16 million votes cast.
Malaysia has a total population of 28 million people, based on last year's census report.
Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who took over as prime minister in April 2009, will be leading the BN to seek a fresh mandate in the 13th general elections, which must be called before May next year.
Young working adults told The Malaysian Insider that they rarely felt close to any political party but would vote for good governance and those who were qualified to serve.
It suggested that a new mindset was emerging among young voters where political affiliations mattered less than leaders who could deliver on issues such as transparency, corruption and economic well being.

Campak Buku Jingga ke tong sampah hina demokrasi

Posted: 16 Feb 2012 06:48 PM PST

Dr Maszlee Malik

Mix of politics with business fuelled economic woes, says Ku Li

Posted: 16 Feb 2012 06:41 PM PST

Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah today charged that years of political patronage and the long standing system of co-dependency between business and politics arising from the Mahathir era had led to neglect of the people's "real socio-economic problems". The outspoken veteran Umno leader added that economic policies of the past, which kicked off from the 1980s onwards, had also widened inequality in Malaysia and would worsen if the present administration does not move to separate business from politics.
"With this pre-condition, Malaysia's economy can avoid a crisis worse that what we see in the West," he said during a luncheon talk today.
There is "too much money in politics", he continued, adding that this forced further disparities between those who benefit from this "dysfunctional system" and those who suffer from it.
"No democratic system, no institution as envisaged by our Constitution, can survive a political economy of this nature.
