Ismail Sabri is the racist: Low quality KR1M goods will hit Malays the most Posted: 16 Nov 2011 06:24 PM PST We were criticised by the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister, Dato' Ismail Sabri as being unfair by not comparing "apple to apple", that is we should not be comparing 1Malaysia products with house-branded products from Tesco, Giant or Carrefour. However, we have proven that the comparison was indeed not "apple to apple" for products such as the "oyster sauce" because the sauce from Tesco contained real oyster extracts, the 1Malaysia product had only flavouring and no oysters. Posted: 16 Nov 2011 06:23 PM PST The recent sharp jump in Proton Holdings Bhd shares has given rise to speculation over a management buyout (MBO) as well as rumours of takeover proposals for the national carmaker.Proton shares have gained 83 sen since Tuesday and closed yesterday at RM3.53.On Wednesday, Proton warrants also jumped, with Proton-CG rising 4.5 sen to 13 sen while Proton-CH was up six sen to 12.5 sen at the close. Research analysts and stockbrokers are surprised by the sudden surge in Proton's share price. They say the marketplace is abuzz with all sorts of rumours. JF Apex Securities Bhd deputy managing director Lim Teck Seng said that Proton's share price usually would not see such a surge without an important corporate announcement or development. "Perhaps investors are expecting some big announcement to be made. On the other hand, maybe there is a liquidity play as the "party" is still going on in the market with the recent heavy trading in penny stocks. Investors are looking for cheap stocks," said Lim. |

‘Clandestine secret society’ operating govt businesses Posted: 16 Nov 2011 06:20 PM PST Was Isa Samad appointed chairman so that PM Najib can have a 'trusted person to oversee' Felda's RM7 billion cookie jar? A bigger rat has been assigned to look after Kumpulan Permodalan Felda's (KPF) RM7 billion ringgit kitty. And that rat is Isa Samad. Now why would anyone appoint Isa, whose track record of managing assets is suspect, as guardian to such a loot? The answer – it's the PM's wish. It is Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak's wish that Isa Samad, a close comrade in arms, be installed as chairman of KPF and 'oversee' the RM7 billion that it has. Let's discuss the PM's wishes. It is an interesting subject in itself. Remember Omar (Mustapha) Ong, an Oxford graduate and Eisenhower fellow from the 4th floor (of PM's Department)? Let me jog your memory. |

Idris Jala and Najib's subsidies con game Posted: 16 Nov 2011 04:18 PM PST Until 2 weeks ago, 98% Malaysians were under the apprehension that precious resources of this country is being wasted on subsidy. The main man behind the dissemination of this information is the esteemed CEO of PEMANDU (equivalent to a Minister without a Portfolio in the Cabinet), Mr Idris Jala. He had given a list of subsidies that has been paid out by the government totalling RM74 billion. A staggering sum considering Malaysia being a small nation. Idris went on to say that should we fail to cut these subsidies, Malaysia will turn into a bankrupt nation by 2019. The plan is to spread fear of seeing our children eating from garbage cans and sleeping on the streets among the electorate so as to create a mood among the people to accept painful cuts and increase in prices. |
