Police looking for MoCS leader

Posted: 16 May 2011 09:13 PM PDT

However Francis Siah says he will not back down from making demands for Taib Mahmud to stand down by Aug 13.
KUCHING: Despite threats of arrests from the police, Movement for Change, Sarawak (MoCS) will continue to do what it has pledged to do – that of demanding Chief Minister Taib Mahmud to step down.
"We will continue to demand Taib to step down," said MoCS leader Francis Siah when contacted today.
Siah, who is presently in Sabah, said that the CID (Criminal Investigation Department) officers had wanted to see him regarding his statement asking Taib to step down.
"I will not see the CID officers without the presence of my lawyers," he said, adding that a police officer from Kuching had called him over the statement.
"Now they (Barisan Nasional leaders) are using the police to harass me.
"But we are not afraid of the threats by the police, and we will continue to do what we have pledged to do, that is asking Taib to step down.
"We will continue to pressure him to step down if he does not do so by Aug 13," he added.

Fuel susbsidies are like "opium" to M'sians: Najib tells Oxford ...really..!!!

Fuel susbsidies are like "opium" to M'sians: Najib tells OxfordFuel subsidies are "like opium" to the Malaysian economy and will have to be reduced gradually to bring the budget deficit under control, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said yesterday.
He said his government had budgeted for fuel subsidies to cost the economy RM11 billion this year but that the estimate had soared to around RM18 billion because of high international crude oil prices.
"Subsidies as a whole are like opium. Once you take opium it's hard to kick the bad habit; once you provide subsidies it's hard to take them away without some political cost," he told an audience at Oxford University's Centre for Islamic Studies.
In March, Najib said he was committed to cutting subsidies long term, adding that the savings should be targeted to help lower- and middle-income people.
"Good economic and macro-management entails you reduce subsidies on a gradual basis. Then you will allow market forces to allocate resources efficiently."

What is your wish list for GE-13

Posted: 16 May 2011 09:09 PM PDT

What is your wish list for GE-13Looks like APCO is far too busy with advisory work for the Malaysian government on the international circuit. And rightly so.
Given the overwhelming crap politics spewing out on the home ground, there must be every reason for the globally connected PR consultancy to be working strategically (at a premium price of course) to weather the bells for the PM and his men-in-arms on the international political arena.
Anyway, the rakyat are now taking their own painstaking initiative to convey a basket of their 'wish list' to the government of the day with that singular hope and vision for a better Malaysia for all loyal, God fearing and hardworking citizens, King and country.
In summary here is the wish list that will also be the determining factor of who gets to govern this larder-raided country come GE-13:
That the nation's number enemy - not Anwar Ibrahim ( as some would have all to believe) but corruption, be bombarded without mercy.

Najib’s offer to meddle in Gulf slammed

Posted: 16 May 2011 07:10 PM PDT

Najib's offer to meddle in Gulf slammedThe Najib Razak administration's offer to send troops to join the Saudis in quelling popular protests against the Bahraini regime has been slammed by a DAP member of parliament, who said Najib risked being on the wrong side of history.

"Not only that the Malaysian government, as a self-claimed opinion leader of the Muslim world, did not voice support for the democratic uprising in the Arab world since early this year, it is now prepared to stand by dictators by sending our troops to oppress the democratic aspiration of the people of Bahrain.

"I am shocked that the Malaysian government would consider violent response by the Bahrain government to crush civilians seeking to exercise their freedoms of expression as a 'noble effort'. I wonder whether Najib understands that by such utterance he is risking being on the wrong side of history," said Bukit Bendera MP Liew Chin Tong in a statement.

During his recent trip to Saudi Arabia, Najib, whose government has reversed key foreign policies by pledging full support for Washington and its allies, announced that Malaysia too could contribute its troops to Bahrain, similar to the recent sending of a Saudi-dominated Gulf Cooperation Council troops, in a move to protect the embattled Bahraini monarch.

Ibrahim Ali, you are no Saladin. You are just a trouble-maker.

Posted: 16 May 2011 06:36 PM PDT

Ibrahim Ali, you are no Saladin. You are just a trouble-maker.It is sickening when Ibrahim Ali, leader of PERKASA, likens himself to Saladin. Saladin is not remembered by his ability at war but rather by his chivalrous nature.
Saladin was a gentleman when dealing with the Christians after taking over Jerusalem and when going head to head with King Richard the Lion Heart.
Upon entering Jerusalem October 1187, Saladin ordered his soldiers to not harm the Christians living there and not to damage any places of worship. Such was the benevolence of Saladin that Christian scribes would write about him and make him well known in Europe.
The fame of Saladin was not in his strength in battle but rather his form of leadership. Saladin is held in high esteem along with Richard The Lion Heart. And it must be stated that it was Saladin who negotiated the truce with Richard The Lion Heart, to keep Jerusalem under Arab rule in return for free passage for the pilgrims to visit the Holy city.
This was Saladin the man, the leader and the example.

Accidents, assassinations, incarceration: What if it happens to Anwar?

Posted: 16 May 2011 10:22 AM PDT

Accidents, assassinations, incarceration: What if it happens to Anwar?Serious charges brought against Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim in the past is the result of the popular belief that he will be the next Prime Minister. For some reason, many quarters are dead set against it. From jealousy to fear that should Anwar become the Prime Minister, it will jeopardize their very existence in this country.
Anwar has too many secrets up his sleeve, and that's why he is seen as a threat. It has nothing to do with Race and Religion. So far he has been able to stay out of trouble, even though sinister plots after plot were engineered to seal his demise. Somehow, he has managed to survive the onslaught against all odds.
Many are curious, whether this man is actually a Saint? Most politicians with baggage would have sunk like a stone, but not Anwar. And lately, threats on his life have surfaced. His vehicle has been tampered with and accidents have been staged to make Anwar's demise seem like an accident.
An assassination attempt is seen as too obvious, so they have resorted to other ingenious and 'accidental' ways to plot his death. It is also a wonder as there were so many opportunities to neutralize him in the past, but failed. He was an open target, but as Elections draw near, the passing of Anwar sounds more tempting.

MCA kecam ektremis dalam perutusan Hari Wesak

Posted: 16 May 2011 10:17 AM PDT

Melayu hancur jika masih sokong pemerintah sekarang

Posted: 16 May 2011 09:53 AM PDT

Najib Jumpa Ketua Hakim Negara Enam Jam...Untuk Apa...Tak Pernah Berlaku Dalam Sejarah..!!

Posted: 16 May 2011 07:50 AM PDT

Bohong dia bohonglah saya.

Tetapi rakyat peringkat atas, apa lagi bernama pegawai tinggi, menteri mengetahuinya. Kalaupun rakyat peringkat bawah yang mengetahuinya hanya pemandu sahaja.
