| Siswazah dipenjara dan denda RM7 ribu kerana buang bayi Posted: 07 Jun 2010 04:22 AM PDT 07/06/2010 3:47pm KUALA TERENGGANU – Seorang siswazah universiti dikenakan hukuman penjara setahun dan denda RM7,000 oleh Mahkamah Majistret Kuala Terengganu hari ini selepas mengaku bersalah membuang mayat bayi lelaki yang dilahirkannya, dua tahun lalu. Tertuduh Zarina Sulaiman, 22, seorang siswazah Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), kelihatan menangis ketika hukuman dijatuhkan oleh Majistret Wan Nor Aklima Wan Salleh. Dia didakwa melakukan perbuatan itu di Asrama Sutera UiTM Cawangan Chendering, Kubang Ikan, Chendering, dekat sini, antara pukul 11 malam dan 12 malam, 29 Januari 2008. Dia didakwa mengikut Seksyen 318 Kanun Keseksaan, yang jika sabit kesalahan boleh dikenakan hukuman penjara sehingga dua tahun atau denda atau kedua-duanya. Majistret kemudian mengarahkan tertuduh menjalani hukuman penjara itu mulai hari ini dan ayah tertuduh telah membayar denda itu. – Bernama  |
